9/23/07: Added a new piece to "Canvas".
9/10/07: Added 2 new pieces to the "Individual Scraps" section.
8/28/07: Added 3 new pieces to the "Masking Tape" section.
Right now my primary focus is the "Canvas" series. All of these paintings involve the creation of several paintings that I destroy and piece back together again into completely new pieces using safety-pins or glue
I've included the component pieces of the "Canvas" works also to give more context into what is happening in those finished pieces.
In the process of creating those paintings, though, other artworks that I call "contingent pieces" are created as intentional byproducts. I consider it a form of recycling.
These various artworks are all created and used as part of an overall system that results in many different aspects. This appeals to me because it enables me to maintain a distinct, recognizable style while still allowing a lot of room for experimentation and growth.
