"Contingent Piece" is my pretentious name for an artwork that is created in the process of creating another artwork. In other words, these pieces are contingent on the creation of other pieces (typically the "Canvas" works) for their existence. I consider it a form of recycling.
The two types of Contingent Pieces are Dropcloths and Used Masking Tape. Each has their own gallery attached to the links below.
